'VOICE OVER BODY SHOP' WEBCAST:
If You Care About Your Vocal Health, Watch
Tonight's VO-BS Webcast - And Ask Questions!
June 20, 2016
(VOXtra) - What would happen to your voice over career if your voice became an unreliable "instrument" - or if you lost your voice altogether?
Right. Don't fool with vocal health or take it for granted.
But DO link up with vocal health expert Dara Whitehead Allen, M.S. CCC-SLP, who is tonight's special guest on the Voice Over Body Shop (VO-BS) webcast. She'll discuss how to maintain great vocal vibes, and also take your questions.
In addition to her creds as a licensed speech language pathologist, Allen is a singer, actor, teacher, vocal coach and owner of the Austin Voice Institute in Austin, TX, which offers a variety of services related to managing speech and voice disorders for adults and children. She also offers private speech and presentation coaching for professional voice users.
"Send her your questions in advance or during the show," says webcast co-host Dan Lenard (the Home Studio Master). To do that, just email firstname.lastname@example.org, either before or during the webcast with your question.
Along with co-host George Whittam (audio consultant to the stars), the popular webcast will also tackle viewers' home voice over studio tech problems, and answer questions live.
Every Monday night the entertaining and informative weekly webcast invites guests to its metro Los Angeles studio or interviews them online about all things voice over.
The show also features a weekly Tech Update, plus exclusive news from VoiceOverXtra and a highly interactive Chatroom.
The online event starts at 9 p.m. Eastern; 8 p.m. Central; 7 p.m. Mountain; 6 p.m. Pacific.
Past shows can also be viewed any time on YouTube and at the VO-BS website: www.vobs.tv.
