Audiobook Narrator: Advance Career
Oct. 22 At Johnny Heller's Workshop
October 14, 2011

(VOXtra) - It's a thrill to listen to a highly-skilled voice actor narrate an audiobook. And chances are, that voice actor is in demand and has already narrated hundreds of audiobooks for a variety of publishers.

Is there a path to follow to reach similar success as an audiobook narrator? Definitely.

Next Saturday, Oct. 22 in New York City, a small gathering of voice actors will take that path -  learning to tweak their narration and marketing skills under the direction of award-winning narrator and teacher Johnny Heller, at VoiceOverXtra's Audiobook Narrator's Day Workshop.

Held at Recorded Books, an audiobook publishing studio in Manhattan's vibrant Union Square, the day-long event is an encore performance for Heller, whose sold-out VoiceOverXtra workshop last spring was as entertaining as it was instructive.

Participants in the Oct. 22 event will read audiobook copy under Johnny's coaching and direction. Fiction or non-fiction - you decide what you want to read. And Johnny will help you find and develop the characters and lead listeners on a rewarding journey.

You will also learn how to research and prepare a script for narration, how to market your skills to audiobook publishers, set up and record in a home studio, and much more.
