See And Congratulate These Finalists
For The Prestigious 2020 Audie Awards®
February 3, 2020

(VOXtra) - From more than 1,300 submissions, finalists in 24 competitive categories for the 2020 Audie Awards® - including the Audiobook of the Year and Best Female and Male Narrators - were announced by the Audio Publishers Association (APA) today.

The Audie Awards are recognized as the most prestigious award in audiobook and spoken word entertainment.

Winners will be revealed at the sold-out Audie Awards Gala on March 2 at Guastavino's in New York City, hosted by author and CBS Sunday Morning correspondent Mo Rocca (pictured).

Celebrity author judges for Audiobook of the Year - Emma Straub, Adam Silvera and R. Eric Thomas - will also be in attendance. (Gala waiting list.)

This year marks the Audie Awards' 25th Anniversary, which will be celebrated with distinction by authors, narrators, and publishers, including a special Lifetime Achievement Award honor to bestselling author Stephen King at the Gala.

"We are delighted to announce the 2020 finalists for the Audie Awards®, a recognition of the best in audiobook publishing," said APA President Ana Maria Allessi. "Congratulations to all who have contributed their varied talents in support of these marvelous recordings."

Audie Awards Competition Chair Mary Burkey adds:
"It's been an awesome year for audiobooks, with not just a huge boost in popularity but also a substantial increase in the variety and production quality of Audie submissions.

"We're grateful for the expertise of our amazing roster of 250 Audie judges from a broad range of backgrounds who commit to tight deadlines and a hefty listening load - some with over 500 hours under the headphones this year! In fact, many judges remarked that the 2020 Audie Awards finalists reflect a golden age of Audie Awards® excellence."
Finalists are selected by a diverse group of experienced judges and one winner is awarded the Audie in each category.
