August 20, 2018
(VOXtra) - In your career dreams you might wish for all the accomplishments of versatile talent Paul Pape.
Performing as a voice actor since the 1980s, Paul has more than 7,000 voice-over credits to date - but that's just a sound bite to the full story. We'll learn much more tonight when he hops into the guest seat on the Voice Over Body Shop (VOBS) webcast (starting at 6 pm PT / 9 pm ET on vobs.tv).
As a voice talent, he's been heard in virtually every media - from commercials, narrations, promos, trailers, TV series, films and video games to national political campaigns, explains Dan Lenard (the Home Studio Master), who co-hosts the webcast with George Whittam (VO audio tech guru).
His VO projects include being one of the voices of President Obama's re-election campaign in 2012, and Hillary Clinton's campaign in 2016, along with numerous U.S. Senatorial and Gubernatorial races.
And he's the voice of environmental and energy-related campaigns nationwide, as well as numerous corporate commercial projects.
Yet Paul is also an actor and producer.
Paul began his professional acting career in New York as one of the original members of the Collonades Theater Lab, and was cast to co-star as 'Double J' opposite John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever.
He co-produced and co-wrote the multi-award winning short film Interrogation with best friend VO legend Don LaFontaine, who passed away a short time later. Both men acted in the film, and Paul received nominations in writing and supporting actor categories.
For future film projects, he is president and CEO of New Trails Productions.
And he's a member of the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, and serves on the Board of Directors of the SAG-AFTRA Foundation. He's also a co-founder of the Foundation's Don LaFontaine Voice-Over Lab, which he helped build in memory of his best friend.
