- Chief Honcho of the famous - and famously funny - Radio Ranch, Lisa Orkin, steps into the guest spot tonight on the Voice Over Body Shop webcast (starting at 6 pm PT at vobs.tv), to enlighten us about her career, her famous father and voice over. Yes, Lisa is the daughter of the legendary radio commercial genius and creator of those hilarious "Chickenman" commercials, Dick Orkin. "But she's her own super successful lady," says Dan Lenard (the Home Studio Master), who co-hosts the Monday night webcast with George Whittam (VO audio tech guru). "Lisa is a comedian, actor, voice actor, writer, podcaster, audio director and a veteran solo artist and storyteller," Dan notes. "She's been mixing comedy, story and marketing for over 20 years, and creating award-winning commercials with the Radio Ranch, and award-winning indie films with the likes of Adam McKay and Shira Piven. "We're so proud to have her with us tonight," he adds. "We'll talk about her career, her famous father, and what it takes to succeed in commercial voice work.
