2014 AUDIE AWARDS Finalists Vie For 'Audiobook of the Year' In 2014 Audie Awards Competition April 12, 2014
(VOXtra) - Billy Crystal, Meryl Streep and Bryan Cranston are the narrators of audiobooks announced as finalists in the Audio Publishers Association's (APA) Audiobook of the Year competition - a highlight of the annual Audie Awards.
The winner will be announced at the Audies Gala on May 29 in New York City, along with winners of Audies in 29 categories. Finalists in those categories were announced earlier (click here to see them all).
Competing for Audiobook of the Year are:
- Still Foolin' 'Em; written and narrated by Billy Crystal; Macmillan Audio
- The Testament of Mary; by Colm Tóibin; narrated by Meryl Streep; Simon & Schuster Audio
- The Things They Carried; by Tim O'Brien; narrated by Bryan Cranston; Audible, Inc.
The APA also announced three audiobooks vying for the Distinguished Achievement in Production award:
- Ender's Game Alive; by Orson Scott Card; narrated by a full cast; Audible, Inc.
- Matilda; by Roald Dahl; narrated by Kate Winslet; Penguin Audio
- Pete Seeger: The Storm King; by Pete Seeger, edited by Jeff Haynes; read by Pete Seeger; Hachette Audio
