Bobbin Beam Leads Reader's Digest Podcast
Team Reading For The Blind At AIRSLA

Voice actress Bobbin Beam recently became team leader and production coordinator for the Reader's Digest podcasts heard at - a service that provides a wide range of audio information for people with limited or no vision.’s Julie Williams launched the podcast effort in 2007, and recently selected Beam to continue the monthly podcast while Williams expands into similar productions for other magazines.
Many of America’s best known voice actors quietly donate their time and voices each month to record these articles for the Los Angeles-based service.
AIRSLA - the Audio Internet Reading Service of Los Angeles - delivers its podcasts via Internet-based radio.
In the past, radio reading services have used FM radio sub-carriers as a broadcast medium. AIRS uses the Internet because coverage is accessible worldwide.
Programs can be received on any computer or, by those who do not use a computer, through an Internet radio.

Thanks Bobbin, for all you do! I enjoy this work so much. Not only do I learn from the articles but it gives me a chance to help those that are "visual unfortunate" as I am, since I am "legally blind" due to albinism.
