For Lifetime Achievement: AudioFile Magazine
Names 5 New 'Golden Voice' Audiobook Narrators
June 2, 2019

(VOXtra) - One of the pinnacles in the career of an audiobook narrator is to be named a "Golden Voice" by AudioFile Magazine - a lifetime achievement honor recognizing "significant contributions to the audiobook art form."

Now at the start of June Audiobook Month, add five narrators to that honor roll:

January LaVoy

Edoardo Ballerini

Bahni Turpin

Suzanne Toren

Johnny Heller

"A Golden Voice narrator exemplifies the very best in audiobook talent," explains AudioFile Magazine - a multi-faceted service (print, e-newsletter and web) focusing on audiobook reviews, interviews with narrators and authors and more.

Since 1992, the magazine has given the Golden Voice honor to just 30 narrators, including Frank Muller, George Guidall, Barbara Rosenblatt, Simon Vance, Jim Dale, Katherine Kellgren and Scott Brick. The complete list, along with videos, interviews and samples of their audiobooks is at

June is recognized in the industry as Audiobook Month, and each day this month, the magazine is featuring a Golden Voice narrator with podcast interviews, blog posts, sound samples and "essential listens." For more, visit:
