(VOXtra) - A funny thing happened on the way to VoiceOverXtra.com's intended retirement today: It didn't go away! I awoke this morning with dread and the expectation of sadness when I'd click the URL to find a blank screen where I'd spent 19 years. Honestly, I was elated to see everything functioning happily as normal! WHAT HAPPENED ... My subscription to the server that runs the website expires on March 31, and the plan was to end public access on March 12 so I could relax and take a long family vacation. The back end administrative side would stay active for me until the end of this month. Well. My communication glitch with the server host kept things running anyway. What to do now? We can still shut down public access, but I'm thinking: Why? People were scurrying to articles and webinar recordings yesterday, with some asking for more time. So I'm adding 20 bonus days of full-function access to the site until it all goes away for both me and you on March 31. During this extended time, I just won't be adding content. Enjoy!! PS: Thank you, thank you, thank you for your exceptionally touching comments and messages in recent days about how VoiceOverXtra has helped your career over the years - even, for some, giving it a start. I'll never forget you. Nor will I forget the fun and warmth of Tuesday night's 3-hour website retirement party on Zoom - seeing and chatting with the people who helped me create the website and through the years help keep it relevant and so popular. You're all terrific! Now I'm on vacation. And will write that book!! JOHN
