Female narrators are up against a whole different set of expectations. Learn what that means during this advanced female audiobook narration event, hosted by Patrick Fraley and Scott Brick, with guests Kelly Gildea and Nancy Linari (at left)—two women who have met with success in the audiobook industry. Gildea is an executive producer at Random House, where she directs, casts, and has produced 600 titles in the past 10 years. Linari received a coveted AudioFile Earphones Award for the first book she ever recorded, and has since narrated women’s fiction, suspense, memoirs, biography, and self-help books. Topics during the one-day event include business skills, fiction and nonfiction female narration technique, and how to perform male characters. You’ll be able to record excerpts for your website or demo. 10 participants only; teacher approval required.
