Character Voice Versatility
Patrick Fraley and Pamela Chollet / Los Angeles
This day-long event, hosted by Patrick Fraley, empowers you to practice the art of sounding like other people—a necessary skill for recording audiobooks, animation, video games and ADR. Ten participants will learn the six elements of a character voice to access and maintain three distinctly different voice placements. Advanced mouth work shows the techniques that are critical to performing diminutive characters. Pat Fraley, who has been teaching voice over performance skills for 42 years and has created more than 4,000 characters for animation, is joined by VO performer and teacher Pamela Chollet (at left), who directs, teaches, and writes with Pat. Teacher approval required to enroll.
