Learn ADR/looping group fundamental skills with casting
director Barbara Harris and
Fraley, a veteran of ADR/looping and dubbing for more than 35 years. Ms.
Harris, who has cast more post-production ADR jobs than anyone in the industry,
will offer insight into how she casts and what she wants, and will guide
individual participants during this event. Pat Fraley, who has recently
performed in The Lego Movie, The Boxtrolls, and Mad Men, will share his unique approach to teaching the skill of
group ADR work and dialogue replacement. Teacher approval required to enroll.
The Audio Publishers Association (APA) annual convention, APAC, features educational tracks and networking for audiobook narrators, publishers and others in this industry. The two concurrent tracks of sessions are Business (formerly the Publisher Track) and Performance (formerly the Narrator Track). Also: presentation of the APA's latest consumer survey and industry trend data, "Speed Dating (narrators meet publishers), a workshop on creating video for social media, and more. Keynote speaker is Peter Shankman, social media marketing expert. Held at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, in conjunction with Book Expo America.
The 2015 Audies Gala and Audie Awards Presentation, honoring the year's achievements in audiobook production, features an elegant reception at the New York Academy of Medicine (starting at 6:30 p.m.), followed by presentation of Audie Awards to finalists in 30 audiobook categories. Sponsored by the Audio Publishers Association, this year's competition drew more than 1,200 entries. Emcee is award-winning author Jack Gantos.

talent Patrick Fraley and animation
expert Pat Brady, you’ll uncover
clues to: performing multiple characters, styles and themes; the "implied
action” technique that’s critical to animation and video game projects; comedy
skills; and ensemble acting. You’ll come away with splendid snippets for
character demos. Host Fraley is among the top 10 performers of all time to be
cast in animated TV shows. Guest Pat Brady is the co-chair of the animation
department at CESD Talent in LA, where she has mentored some of the best VO
