Kathleen Puls Andrade is a VO Pro who loves teaching others how to
be their best and most creative selves. She knows that training is expensive,
which is why she keeps her classes and workshops reasonably priced.
She
co-created and has been teaching the Second City Training Center Beginner and
Advanced Voiceover Program for 7 years. The
program uses improvisation as a tool for making creative decisions and
developing characters on the spot. Previously, Kathleen taught at
recording studio Bosco Productions for 10 years and has been a guest instructor
at Baylor University, University of Chicago, Discover Card, along with many
individual clients.
She
also runs the Voiceover Gymnasium, a bi-monthly VO workout group which uses
custom exercises to help her clients reconsider their approach to the copy and
their reads. In addition to the gym, she coaches individual clients, teaches
Voiceover Audition Essentials, hosts The Free VO Round Table, and co-teaches
Video Game Voiceover with Mortal Kombat VO Director, Dominic Cianciolo.
Kathleen
encourages and challenges her students to think outside the box, engage
physically and emotionally, use improvisation as a creative tool, and add those
custom exercises to their toolbox. Several of Kathleen's students have gone on to work in the
industry, recording commercials, games, narration and more stuff she
doesn't even know about.
