VOICES REMEMBER - An Intimate Musical Cabaret
Society of Voice Arts and Sciences / New York City
Sponsored by the Society of Voice Arts and Sciences (SOVAS), and benefiting Positive Approach to Care and Dementia Awareness, this unique VIP event features a guest appearance by The Broadway Boys, plus Broadway singers performing in the intimate setting of a private home - 210 Central Park South - with each singer introduced by a top voice actor who will first introduce himself/herself via a signature commercial or animated character work. Guest speaker is Dr. Max Gomez, medical correspondent for WCBS television. The event celebrates legendary B. Smith and her husband Dan Gasby, who have recently gone public with their personal struggle with Alzheimer's disease - providing a closer look at their crusade to raise awareness about Alzheimer's sufferers and the often forgotten needs of their caregivers. The couple recently testified on this before the U.S. Senate Committee on Aging. Reception at 7 p.m.; Show at 8 p.m.
