Learn how to narrate audiobooks and how the business works in this Sunday afternoon session with narrator / producer Bettye Zoller and guest instructor / ace audio engineer Rene Coronado. Students will learn how to choose book titles to narrate that will sell; tips for fiction and non-fiction including tone, pacing and more; how to publicize books you narrate; audio recording do's and don'ts; and other topics in a Q&A. Noon to 4 pm at Bettye Zoller's home studio.

Getting Attention - Audiobook Narration Event

Patrick Fraley and Joan Baker team up to teach how to get the attention of audiobook publishers through "evocative, cutting edge performance choices" in this full-day event in New York City. Attendees will learn how to select excerpts and samples that grab the publisher in the first five seconds, and make slates that attract the listener. Recordings will be made for demos and samples. Special guest is Bryan Barney, producer/director/casting director with Blackstone Publishing. Limited to 10 participants; 10 am to 6 pm.
