VOICE OVER AWARDS
See Finalists For 2024 Audiobook Audie Awards®
- Including Best Fiction & Non-Fiction Narrators
January 31, 2024

(VOXtra) - Honoring "the art of human narration" - as described by Audiobook Publishers Association (APA) President Scott McManus - the APA has announced finalists in the 27 categories of its 2024 Audie Awards® competition.

The Audies are cited by the APA as the premier awards program recognizing distinction in audiobooks and spoken word entertainment.

Winners will be announced and celebrated at the Audie Awards Gala on March 4 at The Avalon in Los Angeles, which the APA says will be streamed to the public.

"The remarkable display of talent and creativity that breathes life into these audiobooks is truly inspiring," McManus says about the finalists.

Five talents are now vying for the "Best Fiction Narrator" honor, and another five, for being the year's "Best Non-Fiction Narrator" (see the finalists below). These are new awards that morphed from the traditional "Best Male Narrator" and "Best Female Narrator" categories in what the APA says reflects its "commitment to inclusivity and diversity."

This year's Audies also inaugurated the "APA Choice" award to "recognize audiobooks that not only captivated listeners, but also became cultural phenomena."

And of course, the annual "Audiobook of the Year" award has five contenders.
